- There is no proof that this Susan is the "Mrs. Susan Seybold" that married John Brown in 1867, but the fact that she married Samuel in the same county in 1860 and he died in 1862 makes it quite likely that she remarried 5 years after Samuel died. We don't know her age but Samuel was 25 in 1860 so one could guess that she was probably 25 or so in 1867.
