      WILLIAM JOSEPH CLOUD
Death Claims Mr. William Joseph Cloud -
In the quietness of the early afternoon hours of Sunday, death entered the home of Mr. William Joseph Cloud and took him from our midst. Mr. Cloud had been an invalid for several years and had been confined to his bed for quite a while, so that his passing was not a surprise to his friends and loved ones. He was a sweet christian character, and during his suffering was always gentle and patient. Mr. Cloud was reared in the Corinth community near here, where his father and mother were among the founders of old Corinth Methodist Church. He affiliated himself in the early years of his life with the Methodist Church and was ever faithful to her teachings.
Mr. Cloud married Miss Lula Johnson, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. S. K. Johnson. Of this union one son was born, Mr. A. M.Cloud. He is survived by these and one grandson, A. M. Cloud, Jr. and by one sister, Mrs. George Chapman. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. J. Sanders, a former pastor, assisted by Rev. J. E. Summer, at the home, at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon.
A quartette composed of Mr. R. E. McInvale, Mr. Herbert Kelly, Mr. Ernest Fowler and Mr. Alton Lawhorn sang "Gathering Home" and "Sweet Bye and Bye".
Interment was in the OGLETHORPE CEMETERY.
