LOLA MAE WARD
Lola Mae Wynn Ward, 70, Evarts, died at her home early Monday after suffering a heart attack. A lifelong resident of Harlan County, she was a housewife and was of the Baptist Faith. She attended the Redbud Missionary Baptist Church.
Daughter of the late Bill and Margaret Wynn and widow of Jeff Rice Ward, she is survived by 11 children, Gladys Creech and Anna Mae Farmer, both of Evarts; Walter Ward, Greenville, Ohio; Linda Faye Osborne, Georgia; Clarence Ward, Kenvir; Vickie Cross, Cumberland; Phyllis Wilson, Evarts; Norma Jean Webb, Georgia; Homer Ward, Evarts; Brenda McVey, Verda; and Emily Jane Thomas, Midland, Michigan.
Also surviving are 41 granchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Reuben Wynn, Evarts. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Redbud Missionary Baptist Church with the Reverend Delbert Jones officiating. Burial will be in Evarts Memorial Gardens. Grandsons and friends will serve as pallbearers. The body will be taken to the family home at 1 p.m. where friends may call until the funeral hour.
