Obituary:
Robert Roy Cloud, 80, of Modesto died May 1 at Memorial Medical Center.
Mr. Cloud was a native of Asheville, N.C. He lived in Modesto 20 years and previously lived in Oakdale 25 years. He worked with sheet metal, primarily at Schmolek Plumbing and Heating. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3199 in Ceres. He was a craftsman who enjoyed archery, fishing and painting.
He is survived by his wife, Bettina K. Cloud of Modesto; son, William N. Cloud of La Grange; and three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Lynette Cloud.
A celebration of life will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Fruit Yard Restaurant. Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
