    Notes
    • On Nov. 22, 1921, His father, mother and brother Joe arrived from Grumo Appula by way of Palermo to Ellis Island.  He was not with them and this must have been when he was left with his grandmother to console her for the loss of one of her own sons.
Captain Sinisi graduated from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in 1942, entering the Navy in that year as Ensign.  He served in WW-II and was Commander in 1956 and Captain in 1963, retiring from the Reserves in 1973.  He worked for the Hartford Steam Boiler Company from July 1, 1948 until November 30, 1984.
