Daughter Of Amon G. Carter is Victim Of Death In Dallas
DALLAS, Sept. 1 (AP) -- Mrs. Bertice Carter Speck, daughter of Amon G. Carter, publisher of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, died early today in a local hospital. She had been ill for about a week.
Her husband, Hugo Speck, is foreign editor of Radio Station WFAA here.
During World War II she handled women's news for WFAA under the name of Diana Dale. While working with WFAA she met Speck, who had returned from long experience in the European news field, and they were married.
Mrs. Speck was the oldest of Carter's three children.
Funeral arrangements were pending.
