Obituary:
Dorothy "Dottie" Curtis, 85 was born June 15, 1925 in Kingsport, TN and died April 3, 2011. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Atoka, TN and played the piano with her band, "Dottie and the Boys", for 55 years. Mrs. Curtis is survived by her five children, Franklin E. Woodward, Joan Marie Bartron, Teresa Ann Crook and Teresa's husband, Bill Crook, Joe Malcolm Curtis and Floyd Clifton Curtis; eight grandchildren and 16 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Charles Henry Curtis and grandson, Jeffrey Charles Brewer. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 6 and service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, April 7 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Midtown Cemetery.
