Funeral services for George Page were conducted Monday, June 4, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. from the Martin Funeral Chapel of Elk City with Kenneth Gamble officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home of Elk City.
George Ernest Page was born April 17, 1923 near Moorewood, Oklahoma, to George Washington and Zephie Zelma Cordum Page and passed away Friday, June 1, 2007 at the age of 84. He attended Texmo School before serving his country in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. He served 28 months in the Pacific Theatre and completed 35 months of service when he was honorably discharged at Leavenworth, KS. George was married to Jo Reed Armstrong on January 3, 1945 at Arapaho. They farmed and ranched near Leedey and then in 1980 moved to Elk City where he has lived since. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW and the Moorewood Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife on October 19, 2004, his parents, and a brother, Kenneth Page.
Survivors include 3 children: Paulette Cloud and her husband Jerry of Elk City, Terri Kauk and her husband Mike of Leedey and Gary Page and his wife Barbara of Elk City; 8 grandchildren, Jerry Joe Cloud, Dusty Cloud, Kimberly Travis, Gina Shepard, Shaune Kauk all of Elk City, Coby Page of Houston, Texas, Michael Kauk of Claremore, Oklahoma and Kacy Kauk of Butler, Oklahoma; 12 great grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Bobbie Noblitt of Elk City and a brother-in-law, Junior Armstrong of Elk City.
