Obituary:
Services for Gwendoline Sarah Stunkard, 92, of Brownfield were held Wednesday, Jan. 30, at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Eddie McHugh officiating.
Burial was in Terry County Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Stunkard died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, in Lubbock.
She was born July 9, 1915 in Fannin County to Joe and Jalie Oakley.
She married Walter Hohenberger in Grant, Okla., in 1931. He preceded her in death in Nov. of 1948. She then married T.L. "Buster" Stunkard, May 14, 1955 in Commerce. He preceded her in death Feb. 4, 1986.
She and Mr. Stunkard moved to the Wellman community in 1955.
Mrs. Stunkard is survived by five sons--Tommy Stunkard of Lubbock, L.W. Hohenberger of Roxton, Joe Hohenberger of Temecula, Calif., John Hohenberger of Midland and Jackie Hohenberger of Stanton, Tenn.
She is also survived by four daughters--Joyce Bohler of Brownfield, Mary Edwards of Wellman, Ola Buchanan of McFarland, Calif. and Dean Cox of Brownfield and by 22 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
