    • Aunt Hazel wrote in a letter of 2-21-1997 that Myrtle was from Konawa and that they had no children.
      Myrtle (Mrs. John M. Cloud) was the enumerator for the 1920 census in Wewoka, Olkahoma.

      Mrs. Ann Cloud, 72, a 25-year resident of this city, died in a local hospital Tues. evening. She resided at 229 Yucca NW and is survived by her husband John M. Cloud of the home, one sister Velma Burnett of Wewoka, OK, 2 brothers Arthur McBeth of Wewoka, OK and H. W. McBeth of Abilene, TX. Mrs. Cloud was a member of the Church of Christ. Services will be announced by the French Mortuary, 1111 University, NE.

      Services for Mrs. Ann Cloud will be held from the Chapel in the Garden of the French Mortuary, 1111 University NE at 3:30 o'clock with Mr. Harold Q. Padden, minister, officiating.

      I had not done any genealogy research into New Mexico records before. I found that, by state law, NM death records are closed for 50 years. Certificates are restricted and only issued to immediate family members or those with a tangible legal interest. So I could not search through an index of NM state or Bernalillo County death records.
      Then I tried the Albuquerque Journal Obit index, which is on the computer at the Special Collections Library in Albuquerque. There were only three notices on Clouds, and only one in more recent years (1960's on). That one was for "Cloud, John M. Mrs. died 1969". Articles in Jan. 9 and Jan. 10 issues.

      Since no burial information was included in the obit, I went to the French Mortuary cited in the paper. They had a Record of Funeral for:
