CHESTER - Edna Cloud Eddleman Brantley, 98, formerly of Chester, died Monday, Aug. 3, 2009, at Uni Health in Rock Hill, S.C.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Barron Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bill Stallings officiating. Interment will be in Chester Memorial Gardens.
Born Oct. 28, 1910, in Chester County, Ms. Brantley was the daughter of the late Robert T. and Cora Gwinn Cloud. She was a graduate of Chester High School and attended Kings Business College in Charlotte, N.C. She was retired from Springs Industries as a cloth inspector. She was a member of Council on Aging, VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the National Guard Auxiliary. She was also a member of Springs Flag Line and Second Baptist Church.
Surviving are one son, Robert A. Eddleman of Rockledge, Fla.; two daughters-in-law, Roxie M. Eddleman and Joyce D. Eddleman, both of Rock Hill, S.C.; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, David F. Eddleman Jr. and Ray M. Eddleman.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, S.C., and other times at the home of Roxie M. Eddleman, 1616 Nicholson Ave., Rock Hill.
