Emory L. Butler, 78, of Shiloh, IL, born January 25, 1929, in Turley, OK, died Thursday, December 6, 2007, at St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
Mrs. Butler was an administrative supervisor retired from St. Elizabeth's Hospital. She was a member of St. Peter's Cathedral Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.
Emory was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Butler, who she married June 11, 1949, and who died August 8, 1981; her parents, Thomas F. and Ocie E., nee Dearmore, Cloud; and three brothers, Thomas E., Mark F., and Jack D. Cloud.
She is survived by two sons, Thomas M. Butler of Rochester, NY, and John J. Butler of Belleville, IL;
two grandsons, Christopher R. and Joshua A. Butler;
two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Elizabeth Butler;
and a sister, Mary N. Cloud of Moberly, MO.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, December 9, 2007, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL. A prayer service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Funeral procession will leave at 10:45 a.m. Monday, December 10, 2007, from George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, for an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter's Cathedral Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.
Burial will be at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
