  	Grainger County 1873 Circuit Court divorce case: Elizabeth Dalton Coffey vs Austin Coffey. Elizabeth states Austin returned home after the war and stayed a few days and then deserted her for two years. When he finally returned, he brought with him a woman whom he claimed as his wife, and four children, and then left again. Again, Austin does not respond to the subpoena, so a divorce is granted in April 1874 with Elizabeth (Dalton) Coffey getting custody of the two children Huldy and Ida.
