      Served in Civil War, Union.  Died of pneumonia.
          Lived mostly in Champaign, Champaign county, Illinois.
          Written copy of Pension Certificate - Bureau of Pensions.  Document #176,917  Reissue and Increase.  Act of May 11 1912 (Amended, Mar 4 1913) Milton BODINE, Private, Co. H, 83rd Regiment Indiana Infantry.  Entitled to pension $15.50 per month from May 22, 1912; $19.00/mth from Oct 7, 1912 and  $22.50/mth from Oct 7, 1917.
          His discharge papers were stamped May 1863 and he enrolled on 17 Aug 1862, served three years and discharged 6 May 1863 at Indianapolis, Indiana because of surgeon's certificate of disability.  He was 21 years old, 5 foot 8 inches, light complexion, blue eyes and light hair.  He was a farmer before enlisting.
