      I have no relation to this family, just passing along the info...
      Always verify any information you receive with no citations of sources, so I will leave that up to you.
      I show Dorcas to be the youngest child of William Allen and Dorcas Ogden. Her siblings include Thomas born in GA, who lived east of LeCompte and west of Forest Hill with a granddaughter in 1870; Anna, who married Rev. John O'Quin; William Ogden Allen; James N., who married Mathilde Jane Smith in Avoyelles in 1847; Daniel G., who married Eliz Judith Scott in Avoyelles in 1848;
      There is a John D. Whittington, who married Ellen S. Elliott in Newton Co., TX and they returned to Rapides Parish in time for the 1860 census.
