- "John Ford migrated from Spotsylvania Co. VA to Violet Twp. Fairfield Co. VA in 1806 with his family. His wife was probably named Hannah. Some of his children and grandchildren are named in his 1828 will. I am a descendant of Hannah Cloud who married John Ford and lived in Ohio. Hannah and John, along with their son, Adam Cloud Ford and his wife Elizabeth Nelson, are buried in Dovel cemetery in Pickerington, Ohio.
