Leonard C. Beck of Bonne Died In St. Louis June 27
Leonard C. Beck, son of the late James and Mary Ella (Farrar) Beck, was born March 29, 1892 near Potosi and passed away June 27, 1963 at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Louis. He was 71 years of age.
Mr. Beck and his wife, the former Miss Ethelean Cloud, had been married for 47 years and were former residents of Bonne Terre. At the time of his retirement he was an inspector for the Union Electric Company.
Besides Mrs. Beck the deceased is survived by these children, Leonard Ellsworth Beck, of Caseyville, Illinois, Fred Bernard Beck and Mrs. Ray (LaVerne) Simmons, of St. Louis, also four brothers and sisters, Bobert and Henry Beck, Mrs. Orville (Margaret) Wellan, of St. Louis, Mrs. Eli (Minnie) Portell, of Bonne Terre, seven grandchildren and other relatives.
The body was at the Southern Funeral Home where chapel servies were conducted Monday, July 1, by the pastor of the Southside Baptist Church.
Interment was in the Mount Hope Cemetery.
