- Obituary:
Funeral services for Mrs. Marjorie Mae Cloud will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2011 in the Rush Chapel, Oakdale with Reverend Wallace Millsap officiating. Interment will follow in Turkey Creek Cemetery under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mrs. Cloud, 84, of Glenmora, entered eternal rest on Thursday, December 15, 2011 in her residence with her family near her side.
Marjorie retired from Gifford-Hill Gravel Company after more than forty years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vertie Cloud; one daughter, Joann Cloud; her parents, David and Nettie Tilley and two sisters, Johnnie Nevils and Barbara Cornett.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include five daughters - Patricia Boutte and her husband, Terry of Abbeville, Betty Collazos and her husband, Max of Lafayette, Susan Clark of McNary, Karen Melder and her husband, Bob of Glenmora and Katy McMillan of Glenmora; two brothers ? Charles Tilley and D. W. Tilley, both of Broussard; one sister, Edith Carpenter of Lafayette; nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Friends may call at Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale on Friday, December 16, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on Saturday, December 17, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.
