      When Margaret Doyle came to America, she lived in Brooklyn, New York before moving to New Orleans, Louisiana. Her brother Richard and sister Anne lived there in NY with her husband James Graney.
      She was married twice, The first time to a Mr. Eastwood who died in New Orleans. The second time records show that she was married to William M. Rozier. She married him in 1852 in New Orleans. There are still people in Columbia who remember her. She was a wonderful woman. She was the one who made the living for her family and who "kept the wolf from the door". She was welcome in every household and even on a case, always took charge of the entire household -- not just the mother and the baby. Of course, there were no modern conveniences, but she didn't require any.
      Midwife by occupation. Granny Rozier was on hand for almost every birth in Columbia until her death in 1894
